Xander is currently resident DJ at One Central Street (Romp), Po Na Na (Musica) and Sankeys (Bitch) in Manchester, plus he also produces his own music as Phush 1, and plays many of his own exclusive DJ re-edits and bootlegs.
Xander\'s DJ mixes have been played on Ministry of Sound radio and Radio Magnetic.com and he has also hosted shows for In The City FM and Festival FM and in 2004/5, Xander co-promoted Manchester\'s iconoclastic, multi-roomed See Things From Space live music events

Back in 1996, Xander was a member of both the infamous Terra Sound Kru (AKA Jungleterra) and the original incarnation of Hempology collective, and cut his DJing teeth across Yorkshire, Liverpool and The Netherlands at a range of underground clubs, parties and raves under the name DJ Monsta. After changing his name to Xander, he established his new title after moving to Manchester in 1998 and DJing at the then new Big Hands, and co-promoting events like Sketch, Bite Me and Phush (which brought together a number of new Manchester-based artists alongside more well known live guests). After Xander\'s event / record label Phush joined forces with Hippocamp.net in 2003, he became one of the international net label/community\'s group of moderators and helped kick-start the recording careers of the likes DNCN (releasing his debut 12\" - \'Crayons\'), Jim Noir, Fredo Viola, Phasic, Screech, Nybbl, Scrubber Fox and Batfinks.
