Francesco Rossi has taken a passionate interest in electronic music for nearly 20 years! As his father is a dedicated collector of records, it must have come as no surprise that Francesco should prefer to dedicate his own leisure time to music. When his father asked him what he would like for his 14th birthday, Francesco opted for 2 record players and a mixing console instead of a moped like other boys of his age ... And that was how he made his debut in the music business! He went on to start his career as a DJ at “Le Mirage” in Tuscany, one of the foremost clubs in this region where the greatest Italian DJs still rule the roost today. Later he moved to Milan to be closer to the music scene. Here he gained a precious opportunity to work with many prestigious international radio stations; that in turn opened many new doors for him in the music business. Because of his keen interest in electronic music in all its diversity he began to produce his own records. He still works with the leading Italian producers and DJs to bring a stream of successful new tracks on to the market. By now, the hard-working Italian DJ has already published more than 20 tracks of his own (including “Break it!”, “Love Affair” & “Seduction”) all over the world, to say nothing of several remixes (e.g. Jealousy by world star Martin Solveig) and various compilations (including “Live in Miami 2007” and “Selections Vol. I and II”). His own productions have proved big successes at home and abroad and are also included in several compilations (e.g. “Love is the music” on HedKandi). His hits are played constantly on Italy’s most popular radio stations and by prestigious DJs, including the famous Paul van Dyk. Francesco Rossi’s success now extends well beyond his own home country, Italy, where he has already played in all the most important clubs and events and is an ever-popular guest or resident DJ. He has already had an opportunity to exercise his talent in a number of international clubs, including Liquid-Club – Bern/CH, Q-Club – Zürich/CH, Bangaluu-Club – Berlin/D, Amnesia – Ibiza/Spain, Spaceclub – Mykonos/Greece, and many others.... Francesco Rossi is also delighted by his presence at one of Europe’s biggest European music fests, the Swiss Streetparade 2007 and at Energy 07! He already has another booking under his belt for the Dutch response to the Swiss Street Parade, Queensday 2008 in Amsterdam. By now, he is also a familiar face on the other side of the pond, in the US. Following his great success at the “ULTRAMUSICFESTIVAL 2007” – Francesco has now been appointed resident DJ for all the ULTRAMUSICFESTIVAL events worldwide!– at “TWILO” and at the famous “MANSION” Club in Miami, he has had an opportunity to start a US tour and publish his new compilation “Live in Miami 2007”. All of his DJ sets are remarkable for their dynamic energy and enjoyment of life. Francesco Rossi lets his fans feel his immense passion for music, which is how he puts them under his spell every time; they always enjoy an unforgettable evening in his company and to the beat of his music. His musical style is a pumping mix of electro/minimal/tekhouse, but he also takes a style vocal/funkyhouse evening in his stride – to suit his audience and the nature of the event. Every year, Francesco Rossi pays tribute to his ever-growing fan community with a new edition of his “Selection” compilation series in cooperation with “Molto Recordings”; this is always a front runner all over Italy. This compilation is promoted in the biggest circulation daily newspapers and on TV. Negotiations are currently under way to market his compilations and other productions worldwide. Francesco Rossi is currently working on his first album which is due to be launched on the market im spring 2008. Francesco Rossi has also long been organizing a big event in the foremost Italian clubs; called “Contest”, this is always a sell-out. Despite his great success both as a DJ and producer, Francesco Rossi has remained a very sympathetic man whose wild gigs worldwide, charm and agreeable personality win him great acclaim.
