Emie fell in love with music at the age of 15. Being involved with an older crowd enabled her to experience many aspects of the music industry from clubbing to club promotion. She purchased her first pair of decks on her 16th birthday and started playing hard dance music during the time when Sundissential, Insomniacz and even the Howard, Sheffield, were all at their peak. After a while, Emie decided to upgrade her \'not so easy to mix on\' belt drive decks to a pair of Numarks and changed her style to more of a funky vibe. She started experimenting with all different styles of house music, from US vocal to funky disco, adding a little flavor with the odd bit of breaks and bass line where ever she fancied. At the time, Emie was at University studying Marketing and Events Management and found it near to impossible to keep up to date with all of the records she wanted. So up until 6 months ago when she invested in a pair of CDJs, she took a back seat on mixing and continued to gain experience in the music industry working for events such as O2 Wireless Festival, HIFI North, Escape into the park, and this years amazing Global Gathering, working for both the events team and artist liaison. But now that the festival season is coming to a close, Emie is back and more passionate than ever. Using all of her spare time to focus on creating a sound that you just cant help but dance to. She has also started to make her first track which is already sounding pretty hot and you will now hear her playing a combination of electronic house styles and dirty breaks.
