Friday sees one of the biggest acts to come out of South London ‘Basement Jaxx’. Hailing from a Camberwell Basement, Basement Jaxx are a critically acclaimed UK house music duo, comprised of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe. The White House are honoured to welcome them to our 10th anniversary celebrations. Alongside the Jaxx, DJ’s will include Ben Sowton; Managing Director of the White House and Seamless Recordings, Bappa D and Mike Chadwick. Representing Ibiza Dance Label ‘Big In Ibiza’ will be Cut and Splice and the label A&R Dave Louca. As a record label, Big In Ibiza strives to release its own individual brand of dance music, and their events at The White House are no different. Focusing on music quality, but not confined to any specific genre, their diverse sound caters for any venue and audience, supplying everything from hands in the air House music through to the most exciting new sounds. The venue will be dressed in a UV theme, look out for the UV painted ladies on the night who will be collecting your donations for the Haiti Earthquake Appeal. On the first floor, The White House presents ‘Prohibition’.
Prohibition was created with back rooms in mind and to give an edge to mainstream nights. It is for those clubbers who don’t want to just push the envelope; they want to rip it apart; offering up diverse and despicable lines ups that are guaranteed to woe you away from the main floor. Subversive beat terrorism, aural aphrodisiacs and unrelenting beats all designed to lead you down the path of excess which we all know is the true path to wisdom.. Expect the unexpected and prepare to enter a land where everything is illicit and nothing is as it seems.
