New Years Eve at Sankeys is going to be that extra bit special as the monthly themed parties culminate in the best possible way: Star Wars! A personal fave of David Vincent, one of the best film trilogies ever (we’re talking the first three films here) will come to life over the three rooms at Sankeys which has been rocking on all cylinders since opening in a blaze of publicity in September. Now to crown the tail end of 2006 and blast into 2007 at warp speed, Ancoats will bear witness to an all-nighter fancy dress session with an all star cast of residents battling to seize control of the club!

The Main Room will be transformed into the Death Star with the DJ booth as the Millennium Falcon. And over in The Bar, the Canteena will be re-created with no expense spared. From bouncers dressed as Storm Troopers to incredible production, Sankeys is going to again knock people for six when they walk through the door!

David says that, “I really want to finish the year and a high and thought this would be the best theme possible for the club. I absolutely love Star Wars and we are going to go to town with the club, spending a lot of money on the club which will look out of this world – literally!”

Upstairs in the Boutique will remain a mystery until the night itself but will also be part of the mind boggling effort being put into this party. From Yoda to Luke, from Leia to Chewbacca, from Obi Wan to Darth Vader… this party is going to take you into another dimension, a long time ago, in a place far, far away, in Sankeys at New Years Eve!
