Description

Imperial Vipers
IMPERIAL VIPERS
Evolving from a gang of mates with a shared love of rock n roll, Imperial Vipers exploded into action in early 2003. Ripping out tunes that fall somewhere between Soundgarden & The Clash their sound and live performance is hard to pigeon-hole and has been described quite simply as "Street Rock" by Anne Maria from Total Rock, a genre that the band identify with. "We were sick of all these public school pussies making what they claimed to be rock n roll music so we just had to show em how its done" says lead guitarist and main songwriter Wevs. Front man Ash Simmons adds "we're proud to be a British band who make real songs about real stuff but still have a good time doing it." The London & Luton based five-piece have already notched up an impressive list of successes throughout the UK and Europe. 2006 has seen them tour with the likes of the legendary Hanoi Rocks who loved the band's "energy and passion" and Ginger of Wildhearts fame who described them as "the best new band around." As well as playing with Marky Ramone, Supergrass, Goldie Lookin Chain and Towers Of London they also headlined both the Kone Funboard Festival to an audience of 10,000 at the Bercy Stadium in Paris and the 2004 World X-treme Sports Exhibition. In short, the Vipers swaggering and gritty rock n roll has already won them a legion of fans. The likes of Radio 1s Colin Murray, XFMs Ian Camfield, Iron Maiden front man and BBC 6 Music DJ Bruce Dickinson have all been vocal in their support of the band, as have leading UK rock magazines Classic Rock who gave debut album Searching:Falling:Silence an 8/10 rating, and Kerrang! who called them "an authentic shit-kicking rock n roll band with potential to cause structural damage." Meanwhile the band will carry on as they always have - playing shows, writing songs and doing things their own way without compromise. Imperial Vipers have arrived make sure you dont miss the ride.
