Description

Main Hall: Club Thy Neighbour
4 or 5 Magicians + Somebody's Mind + Special Guests + The C90s (Dj) + TK

With sets from:

4 OR 5 MAGICIANS are a four (or five) piece alt-rock outfit from Brighton, East Sussex, UK. Formed "out of necessity" in late 2005, they take most obvious infuence from the golden era of American alt-rock & Pavement, Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr., Guided by Voices, Nirvana, Pixies, Built to Spill, and early Weezer and Everclear, but could write a list as long as your arm of bands who have influenced them, and even then, you'd have to have a pretty long arm, and a pretty small pen.

SOMEBODY'S MIND They're from Reading and they're kicking up this refined raw energetic psychedelic storm of rock, they talk of a sound that they call The British Voodoo.... weird wired very English early Pink Floyd lost in the depths of the UFO club fighting off Johnny Rotten in a time machine in 1967 and coming out like Hawkwind or Mood Six .... Reverb paranoia and interstella overdrives....sounds like a long lost English psychedelic Hammer Horror garage rock Fuzztones treasure - whoooooooooo, something wicked in the woodshed, the British Voodoo - Mark Taylor and his new three piece, excellent - Organ Art
With SPECIAL GUESTS to be announced!

THE C90S (DJS) Formed over a mutual appreciation of disco beats, handclaps, cowbells, and vocoders, Jamie Paterson and Danny Ashenden are The C90s. Two DJs who have rocked floors over the UK and Europe for the last two years, from smashing Vice nights in Berlin to going back to back with Chromeo in Brighton. 2008 sees The C90s evolve again as they join ex-Beta Bander Steve Mason on tour as part of the live incarnation of Black Affair, performing tracks from Steve's new album 'Pleasure Pressure Point'. The C90s remix of 'You And Me' alerted Mason to the duo's beat-manipulating skills, and the pair were promptly recruited as honourary members.

TK - (Broader Than Broadway Soundsystem) Celebrating bass culture and urban electronica, Broader Than Broadway is a soundsystem, clubnight and record label. We serve up the finest hip hop, grime, electro, reggae, dancehall, speed garage and bounce music with some punk, indie and country thrown in for good measure.
