Description
Creamfields will be a two day Festival over the August Bank Holiday weekend
of Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August 08.
And for the first time camping will be available.
As the most revolutionary festival announced this year, Creamfields 08 whips up the summer’s most irresistible treat with the most diverse line up to date and the crème de la crème of DJ splendour. Now John Digweed, James Zabiela, Yousef and performing live Deadmau5 and The Whip have all been added to the ever growing line up with more still to be announced.
As part of the 10th Anniversary celebrations Creamfields 08 has been spread over two days for the first time ever and will host boutique camping where festival goers can rest their dancing feet in tipis, beach huts and solar powered pod pads in the stunning surroundings of Daresbury, Cheshire.
With an incredible and unrivalled line up, the latest DJs added to the bill mark Creamfields as the UK’s most sought-after dance festival, leading the world of outdoor partying into a bright new era.
John Digweed’s impact on dance music has been groundbreaking, in the last decade he has cemented his name on the pages of dance music history as one of the biggest names in the world of electronic music. Along with DJ Sasha he was largely responsible for the immense worldwide growth in popularity of progressive trance & house. Equally influential as a DJ and Producer, who has remixed the likes of fellow Creamfields performers Underworld as well as Quincy Jones and New Order.
John Digweed says: “"It is great to see after 10 years Creamfields are still putting on amazing festivals not only in the UK but around the World, featuring some of the best talent in Electronic Music. I am really looking forward to playing on the 10th Anniversary"
The all-star additions guarantee the best alfresco party of the summer! James Zabiela is a mixing wizard and at the forefront of DJ innovations, smashing the glass ceiling of global superstars! There is no dance stone left unturned by James Zabiela whose live sets have touched every corner of the earth including playing to 60,000 in South America and holding residencies in the world’s best superclubs. We expect an incredible set at Creamfields as this technical genius brings his magic to the ‘fields…
Manchester trend-setting pioneers The Whip have also been added to the bill, performing live in the Radio 1 Arena. A band perfectly in tune with the Creamfields ethos spearheading the dance charge; a must for your dance diary!
The Whip say: “"Creamfields is THE great dance music festival in the North, we can't wait to play. Us going on before legend Ian Brown on the Radio One stage will tie Manchester 2008 to 1988. Twenty years of Manchester representing!"
Another North West maestro to join us in the ‘Fields’ is Yousef. This DJ and producer has carved his legacy across the global electronica circuit for close to a decade. He cemented the scouse empire with his love of house and showcased this globally with incredible impact.
Eclectic beat monkey Deadmau5 will be sure to bring some interesting sounds to the already bursting bill, hailing from Toronto, this Canadian cuts tracks that range from thumping to electro, the weird to the strong, he will be performing live alongside the likes of Underworld and John Digweed on Sunday 24th August.
Deadmau5 comments: “I am so excited to be playing at Creamfields i have heard so much about this amazing festival”
