Description
Gatecrasher and Galaxy are proud to announce CLUB GALAXY - a brand new collaboration in the form of a series of stunning monthly parties at Discotheque Leeds.
The radio station and club super-brand have worked together on a number of events in the past, but this will be the first time they have combined their strengths to launch a brand new night. The idea came about after both realised that a collaboration could indeed give birth to a new clubbing phenomenon.
‘Club Galaxy’ will take place at Discotheque in Leeds on the first Saturday of every month – starting on Saturday 3rd March. The launch night will see Galaxy’s Hirsty and Duncan Wallace playing funky electro and vocal house in the main room, while downstairs in the Cocktail Lounge the music will be funk, disco, soul and R&B provided by one of the city’s most famous faces and DJ’s Everton who will be joined by Deej.
The night will also include a live PA from clubbing favourite Steve Edwards – who’s enjoying great success at the moment after recent collaborations with the likes of Axwell, Bob Sinclar and Michael Gray.
Galaxy Marketing Executive Ben Clayton said: “Galaxy has always been closely involved with the club scene and we regularly hold one-off parties up and down the country. So, we thought it was about time we started a regular night of our own. Discotheque is the perfect venue for us as a lot of our DJs know it well – from both sides of the DJ box – and we know a lot of our listeners are already regulars there for successful nights like ‘Hed Kandi’.”
Discotheque’s Promotions Manager, Adam Mathews added “Discotheque is fast becoming a clubbers favorite especially for those who seek a quality night out that is fun, sexy and accessible. This format we have devised with Galaxy will tick all the boxes as we present great DJs, superb Live PA’s, live musicians, world-renowned production and a high sense of theatre every month. Our commitment to this night is 110%...so much so that on the 7th April we’ve confirmed one of the biggest DJs in the world…the legendary Paul Oakenfold!”.
Firstly though…everyone is excited about the prospect of the launch night going off with a bang. Can you afford to miss it?
