EIGHT AMAZING BANDS PLAYING BACK TO BACK ON 2 STAGES*
AND AT £5 IN ADVANCE IT'S A SWEET DEAL.
*NOT ALL SIMULTANEOUSLY LIKE IT'S LIVE AID '85 OBVIOUSLY!
Aortic Dissection's sound could be best described as blending the brutality
of death metal acts like Job for a Cowboy, Psycroptic and Gorerotted with
the intricate songwriting of Tech-Metal bands like Sikth and Necrophagist..
With an utterly brutal live show these guys are fast growing as a
recognisably talented young band..

Poshxcore. Piano was originally formed by Jeremy Mortimer and Christopher Haywood back in 2000, seeking to pursue their musical interests in light of a fluent writing partnership. As numerous members came and went, the band followed a varied musical evolution through rock, hardcore, pop covers, progressive, and neo-classical instrumental work. A renewed focus was discovered with the introduction of Ciaran Cahill, and the band began to gig with the likes of Eden Maine, My Awesome Compilation, Jairus, and Tribute To Nothing. In 2005 Piano signed to Japanese label Zestone records through whom the debut EP ‘Monogamy is Encouraged’ was released; selling many thousands over the first few months. Shortly afterwards came the departure of then vocalist Ben Jones, enforcing a 6 month hiatus. Piano bounced back recruiting talented vocalist, Daniel Tompkins, and finally producing a new and exciting balance between each member’s solo abilities. A UK tour followed playing with Second Smile, Second Monday and The Abner. As a result of the success of the EP and a growing fan base, Piano were invited to headline a tour of Japan in late 2006, playing packed venues with the likes of Lost, Envy and Palm. In 2007 the band started work on new material, the intelligence and appeal of which was noticed by Sikth duo Dan Weller and Justin Hill; who duly joined the band in the studio. The forthcoming EP is set to be the springboard for exciting times.
Having shared the stage with Bleeding Through, Misery Signals, Textures, Eternal Lord, The Bled, Architects, Cult Of Luna, Alexisonfire, Caliban, Mendeed, and Johnny Truant among many others as well as full U.K. Tours with Aconite Thrill, Cry For Silence, Flood of Red and Enter Shikari, mini-tours with Azriel, Centurion, End of Everything, Twin Zero and prestigious slots on the Taste of Chaos tour in 2005 and 2006, My Mind's Weapon, despite being from the far-flung city of Aberdeen in Scotland, have garnered themselves a loyal following of like-minded modern-metal fans.
With a diverse range of influences shaping a unique sound, equal in epic soundscapes and technically challenging passages, the band, which began as fun - as all bands do - has become something all of the bandmembers are working for as one.
The band have finished the recording and mixing of their debut album "The Carrion Sky." This will be released on 11th February, 2008 by Basick Records. The record was recorded and produced by My Mind's Weapon and mixed by WellerHill Productions (being Dan Weller and Justin Hill from Sikth).
Blueprint To A Downfall are a brutal, unashamedly heavy dual vocal outfit from Manchester, England. Regular gigging around the North of England has turned this band into a truly ferocious prospect. Coupling the bicep-bulging beatdowns of a band like Parkway Drive with the balls-to-the-wall metallic magic of a band like Killswitch Engage, Blueprint To A Downfall deliver a sound that is utterly immense. BTAD have been touring non stop since the start of 2006 hitting every inch of the country, with their April 2007 tour alongside good Friends Ella From Birstol being sponsored by Planet-Loud.com. Turnouts were good and the bands fanbase grew and grew. The Band have Since Then toured throughout June, July and August and are now concentrating on the writing of their Debut Album Due For Release in Early 2008.
Psychomanche (si-co-man-chee) If your wondering, are a 6 piece band from Luton/Dunstable. Started late 06 by Jake (vocals) and Dave (drums). Since recruiting their final member recently (April) the band have been writing and getting their name out as much as possible. With a slightly different sound, and a unique mix between the vocalists, Psychomanche are fast growing into their sound, being a crush of brutal riffage, melodic outbursts and the hint of crazed manga influence. They played a short 3 track set in Dunstable in early may just weeks after completing the line up, the gig went down a storm!
Now Psychomanche hit the local scene with more force than Lennox Lewis, if Lennox Lewis told bad jokes in between rounds that is!
Watch out
5 piece hardcore/metal/screamo band from milton keynes. Taking influences from bands like the bled , killswitch engage, protest the hero, sikth. Starting up in october 2006 and just emerging in March - known in milton keynes as the sleeping giants having kept quiet for quite a few months. With an e.p and a list of shows lined up they are here to show the u.k scene what hardcore really is...
"More moods than a schitzophrenic teenage girl" - MKScenezine
"Aurora's Shadow certainly seem to be making an impact on the local scene with massive pedal setups, soft vocals and an enviable haircut of a certain bassist." - Craig Short, Musatronic

Think:Fire
Think:Fire are one of the best kept secrets in britain, with a cult following built up over many support slots with the likes of Funeral for a Friend, Dredg & Say Anything. With a cheeky smattering of piano these guys have captivating songs laden with atmospherics.
