Description
Battlejam
Beardyman and JFB bring the conserve of freestyling and funtime to Cargo
2006 and 2007 UK beatbox champion Beardyman and 2007 UK DMC Champion JFB have been turning rooms of fresh-smelling, stationary punters into rooms of sweaty, dancing punters in the Brighton based beatboxing and scratch bonanza known as BATTLEJAM. Tonight sees their London debut at Cargo, bringing along long time cohorts Ed Solo and Klumzy Tung, plus special DJ guest slots from Mr Sunday Best Rob da Bank and ridiculously accoladed DJ Skully
The format is simple. Beardyman, with his notorious beatboxing mouth and JFB with the aid of Serato Scratch-Live mash up live samples from the guest musician, MC, DJ or from the crowd either en-mass or individually and make a tune out of it - live before your very ears. No one knows what's going to happen until it does at Battlejam, not even the performers themselves.
It's a bit of genius, a bit of crazy, a bit of hi tech musicianship and a hell of a lot of fun. Battlejam kicks off at Cargo on Friday 16th November
