Review from WORKING TITLE:
"With far out hair that makes old ladies cross the street, growling guitars, synths reminiscent of your Super Nintendo on a bad day and the entire Boots supply of eyeliner, My Passion are five guys armed from the balls up with guitar, ,bass, synth and drum, playing trashy riffs that make you want to get your kit off and actually dance. It sounds like you're circular sawing your Gameboy, a blatant aural orgasm."
Exit Avenue: A Hertfordshire based, All-star quintet of learned musicians intent on nothing short of World-wide Aural Devastation. After spending the summer 2006 fusing Electronica limbs to the Pop Punk torso of a Ninja-Dragon, "Made For The Arcade", their debut EP was born. Decribed by the Grand-Wizard of HcTim as 'Sega-Jedi-Core++', this is definately a publication worth getting your hands on.
In February 2007 Lioness was born from a combination of luck, friendship, and the ashes of several bands; 6 people with one common goal; to make music they all wanted to hear, inspired by the bands they loved. The name ‘Lioness’ illustrates every aspect of their sound; power, beauty, aggression and grace. Early months spent together jamming proved productive, and with a just handful of songs they emerged onto the local music scene to a positive reception, further fuelling the passion and desire to get their music to a wider audience.
November saw them shortlisted to perform a short set at the Battle Of The Bands at the Fuse 07 event in Shepherd’s Bush, London, which to their surprise and delight they won.
With plans to record at The Outhouse, Reading early next year the future may not yet be written but it is one that will be approached with great anticipation and expectation.
