For too long the dance music scene has been taken away from the dancefloor
and abused by all manner of nasty types – the media, the corporates, the
club “brands” and “superclubs”. But it was never their house… it was
certainly never my house. It’s only ever been… our house.

That’s the beauty of the house music scene – it’s inclusivity, the sense of
belonging, of party people joining together on the dancefloor to celebrate
what Saturday nights are all about and what a jolly good wheeze this whole
“being alive” thing really is.

And that is very much the vibe of Our House – a stripped-down, back to
basics, party night, with decent music, a top atmosphere, and good, good
people. After a successful launch, the sophomore night takes place on
October 21st at North. North suits the party perfectly – a decent disco,
for a decent night out – just like the party people like it in this neck of
the woods. Down some innocent looking stairs beneath Affleck’s Palace in
the Northern Quarter, the shape of North allows for a circular flow of
people around the venue, through the main room and out into the cuddly back
room.

Music on the night will feature sexy, vocal, twisted, dirty house from the
likes of Erol Le Vante, Mike Godsmark, as well as Disco Dan and Gaz Leyland
going back to back in the main room. In the Back Room, hosted by Luna,
expect funky house anthems from Bohannon and Friends, as well as sultry
live sax from Tom “Da Lips” Lormor.

And Our House are proud to welcome a star to the fold. Singing the track
she recorded with Chris Lake, the gorgeous “Changes”, we are delighted to
announce that Laura V will be singing live.

So their you have it. If you’re looking to head out for a decent party on
