Description

For ten years The Glasshouse has endured as the cult sensation of the Leeds dance underground. An incendiary after-hours event that has steadily thrived on word-of-mouth and built a reputation for eccentricity, enthusiasm, and an obsessive, consistent passion for music. Originally conceived as a Hard House and Trance night during the height of that scene, The Glasshouse expanded and evolved with the rise of House; its stellar roster of resident DJs packing out the venue with 1000-plus punters every Saturday without fail, whilst other clubs were being forced to permanently close their doors. It quickly became an unparalleled event on the club calendar that everyone knew of, but essentially knew nothing about. The Glasshouse has long stood and still stands as none other than Leeds’ best-kept secret.
Scorching hot up-and-comer Daley Padley will be an exclusive resident of the reinvented and re-launched all-nighter. Having released his debut remix ‘Shake My Soul’ on Subliminal Records in March 2006, Daley has been heralded as a talent of monumental proportions by the Swedish Mafia (Axwell/Ingrosso/Angello), and found a firm fan in he-who-needs-no-introduction, P.Diddy. His remix of ‘A Deeper Love’ became an international smash-hit and instant classic, instigated a furious bidding war, and was playlisted for 11 weeks on Roger Sanchez’s ‘Release Yourself’ radio show, broadcast in fifteen countries.

The Glasshouse continues to go from strength to strength and is a regular fixture at Cream Ibiza’s Amnesia Terrace. Indeed, it is Padley’s strident success as resident in Ibiza that cemented the decision for him to continue his all-conquering tenure with The Glasshouse brand in the UK. The Mission Club has recently undergone a one-million pound makeover and will now provide a stunning backdrop for what is primed to become one of the country’s premium House nights, maintaining and building upon the ideals, atmosphere, and attitude that have fuelled its achievements throughout the past decade. The Glasshouse is undoubtedly here to stay.
