Description
TESSERACT
Written, recorded and produced by Acle Kahney, TesseracT began life in 2003. Originally an instrumental solo project, TesseracT has passed through many phases and worked with various musicians. However 2006 brought the addition of Jay, Mos, Metal and Abi which has transformed the project into a band. Work is under way to complete the EP "Concealing Fate" a 30minute song split into 5 tracks, with the aim to focus on the album after. TesseracT conveys different moods using unique and original methods. It captures melodic, tense ambience mixed with grinding grooves and rhythms. Musical inspirations come from artists such as Meshuggah, Pink Floyd, Martin Grech, Sol Niger, The Doors, Pearl Jam, Miles Davis, Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley and Textures.
The Arusha Accord
In the early part of 2005, we began work on a musical experiment.. With no firm idea of direction but with a mind to try and combine some of the chaotic variations of Sikth, the rage and speed of Dillinger, and the complex time signatures and textured progressive arrangements of Tool, we spent an intense and quite often frustrating two and a half year period creating and developing our sound.. .. With the addition of a second vocalist in the summer of ’07, the missing element was found and a countdown to our first show could finally begin. Since breaking onto the scene on November 11th of the same year, our feet haven’t really touched the ground. Because we spent so long alienated from any scene there was always the fear that we might not fit in anywhere! However, the feedback has been fantastic, even humbling at times, and after only three shows, we were excited to join forces with the fresh, upcoming label, Basick Records.. .. After the recording of our E.P. at Outhouse Studios in January ‘08 and with release date not expected to be until the early summer, we’ve now got a little time to write, think, practice and improve with an aim become recognized as one of the most innovative writers and performers in this exciting new tech metal scene..
The Eyes of a Traitor
The Eyes Of A Traitor are a metal band local to Hertfordshire, most are from Harpenden. They consist of 5 boys, all 15 or 16 years young. They play a variety of different styles of metal, including sound scapes, polyrhythms and old school guitar harmonies, composing a variety of different sounds, making use of Meshuggah groove-esque riffs then going straight into a simple dirty harmony riff; they don't believe in sticking to the tired old simple beatdown or song structure, which has been completely overdone in the local scene.
Aortic Dissection
Aortic Dissection's sound could be best described as blending the brutality of death metal acts like Job for a Cowboy, Psycroptic and Gorerotted with the intricate songwriting of Tech-Metal bands like Sikth and Necrophagist.. With an utterly brutal live show these guys are fast growing as a recognisably talented young band..
