Description

Basement

Locodice 3hr set, Martin Buttrich live, Mistress De Funk
Locodice, or Dice as he is known to his friends has always been a firm favourite with Manchester’s nocturnal party fiends. Having been a regular guest at the club over the last few years, it’s with great pleasure we welcome Dice back to his Manchester home, when he will be playing an extended set. Alongside him and performing a LIVE show is Dice’s studio production partner Martin Buttrich who will be making his first appearance at Sankeys

Boutique:

Dubstep Gives me Nightmares pres Benga, Hatcha + more

Benga
2008 looks to be a huge year for 21 year old Beni “Benga” Uthman. Following on from the success of his 2007 “Night” E.P – a track embraced by a diverse selection of the world’s top DJs from Mary Anne Hobbs to Pete Tong and Francois K; Benga released his debut L.P ‘Diary of An Afro Warrior’ in February to massive critical acclaim. Benga has come to define a particularly potent strain of the hardcore continuum known as dubstep, marrying a rudeboy raving attitude with a devastatingly raw production talent. If his Boutique set in January was anything to go by, expect an absolute stormer!

Hatcha
Often described as Croydon's answer to Moodyman, DJ Hatcha has over 15 years of DJ experience under his belt at the age of just 26. As A&R man and shop hand at the legendary Big Apple Records in South London, he was responsible for Benga, Skream, Digital Mystikz and Loefah's first record deals, and was first choice by Tempa Recordings to curate and mix the first in the series of Dubstep Allstars mix C.Ds. Expect the freshest dubs available and some of the most on-point mixing the scene has to offer.
