Everything began when Hip Hop exploded in 1984 in France with the
broadcasting of the show named Sydney HIP HOP. The show sparked the interest for music of the young Stansmith. Attracted to the new sounds he discovers the magic of music.
The same year he starts buying 12 INCHES . But the love for the sillon is taking over as Funk starts coming up in France during the same period.
In 1987 Stansmith hears first mixes through Saturday evening shows on radios like Sky Dance on Skyrock with Rlp and Nrj Club with Dimitri. Legendary shows were many US and UK imports of rap, funk, new jack and house were introduced.
It is the time where house music in France takes off with MARRS, S express, Hit house etc. and the hour of glory of Hip Hop with Eric b & Rakim, EPMD,and Public Enemy and more.
In 1990 Stansmith gets behind the turntables and animates the party of his high school. The chemistry created with the music and the reaction on the dancefloor capture his heart immediately. From that moment on he starts playing at different clubs and parties all over the east of France. Preserving the culture of hip hop, the knowledge and basics of house music and its origins disco and funk.
Stansmith makes his first appearance on radio Rbs in 1992 on invitation of a dj. Staying closely connected to the radio station he still regularly visits the studios today.
In the same year he meets with dj Taskam which results in the creation of the magazine Da Funky Kam. During 6 years this magazine was the medium to gain knowledge of underground culture including news of black culture and electro. DFK was the reference in music in the east of France with interviews of Wu tang, Jay z, Nas, Sean Paul, Usher, Beatnuts, Bob Sinclar, Antoine Clamaran, Rlp, Daft Punk, Gilles Peterson and many more.
First parties of 113, Busta flex, Neg Marron, Kool Shen, Suly Seffil, Fonky Family, 3 oeil, Sages poètes de Rue, Afrodisiak, Cut killer, abdel, Dee nasty, Dj Goldfinger, and more.
In 2000 Stansmith returns back to his first love: to vibrate the dance floor. He plays at numerous clubs Bateau ivre, Blue b, Mirroir, Poisson Rouge (Colmar/France), Charlies, Passeva, Club one (Germany), Café des anges , Kay west (Luxembourg). He sets the dancefloor in fire in Switzerland (Oxa) en Germany (Club One, Lera, Universal dog), Morocco (Paradise), Tunisia, Turkey.
Stansmith remixes in 2004 hits like 113 & magic system, Amin, Usher aired on NRJ, FUN et Radio ECN, Radio Sud, Radio Grenouille.
In September of 2004 Stansmith launches his radio show radio called Vibeness. With the goal to let listeners discover the best of Hip Hop, RnB and future hits of house in 120 minutes.
Aired on radios like www.radiorbs.com , www.radioecn.com Vibeness has faithful listeners in 4 corners of the world. From September 2006 on Vibeness will air on 15 web radio stations in countries like the Netherlands (Pre Party Radio), Sweden (Music Radio Service) and Poland (Radio stylo).
Stansmith dj depuis 1990 a commencé sa carrière par les fêtes de lycées et les soirées PV, c 'est au fur a mesure des rencontres qu il croise Taskam et Mouss avec qui il crée le magazine musical DFK. La chance de rencontré des artistes comme Jay z, Nas, Fugees, Bob sinclar, Antoine Clamaran , Armand Van helden, Grâce à la revue, c 'est en 1999 que Stansmith décide de booster sa carrière en mixant pour les premières parties de Arsenik, Busta Flex, Raggasonic, Lord Kossity, Cut killer , Dj Abdel, Dj Mouss, etc.. Il réalise des remixs de 113, Magic system, Beyoncé, Sean PAUL, pour FG, FUN RADIO et NRJ ( résident mastermix 2004). Vibeness qui est 120 minutes de nouveautés House et Rnb verra aussi le jour la même année 2004 l'émission diffusé sur 15 radios dans les 4 coins du monde . Apres plusieurs dates au Maroc en Tunisie en Turquie en Espagne une résidence sur Londres, Stansmith pose ses bacs au jimmys bar ou vous pouvez le retrouver tout les week ends pour une ambiance House & Rnb Dance hall
