Alongside the finest music Fierce Angel have also teamed up with Living TV¹s ³Britains Next Top Model² and episode six of the latest season showcased the team searching for the face of the new Beach Angel CD. The winner of this particular episode was Leanne Nagie and it¹s her completely Fierce image that completes this amazing album.
This new compilation features a selection of tracks both old and new Mark says ³I knew many of my early selections on the nu-cool & beach house albums were now deleted and it was time to freshen them up and present them to a new audience. We were also lucky enough to find some spectacular new tracks and also a few classics that slipped past me in previous years!²
The journey begins on CD 1 with selections from Ananda Project, Viola, Moments Of Soul and Onda. They are perfect examples of the Beach House sound with strong anthemic songs and delicious production. CD1 is primarily made up from two huge New York labels: Wave and King Street who have been responsible for some of the finest soulful house over the years. No Beach Angel album would be complete without a large splash of Latin and included here is the incredibly difficult to find ³Vai Minha Tristeza² by Tom & Joycehere alongside an essential MAW mix of Stephanie Mills plus great tracks by Barbara Mendes and Rasmus Faber.
CD2 features a large selection of the finest classics from Naked Music alongside tracks by Fac15. Presence and Teifschwarz. The CD closes with two Beach House anthems ³You Make Me Feel Like² by A:xus and ³Nowhere² by Santessa.
CD3 features a whole set of new and exclusive tracks and begins with some deep vocal action from Clique, Furry Phreaks and Nick Holder while Eric Kupper adds a little Latin flavour with his Aurora project. The Bassmonkeys have been incredibly busy and have collaborated on two new tracks. The first features the talents of Soulshaker and Andrea Britton and the second features Etherfox.
