Manchester saw the biggest regional final of the "Miss" competition come to it's climax on May 1st! The Palace Hotel hosted the largest event the competition had seen to date. With more people ever sitting down and enjoing a luxury meal as well as plenty of alcohol...and what did they have to entertain themselves with!? 40 beautiful ladies, footballers, soap stars, X-Factor and Britain's Got Talent performances, the nations most famous boxer and even more! The whole event came to a crowning end when 17 year old Jessica Simpson won Miss Manchester 2008. What makes the story even more special is that Jessica's Mum won the same competition when she was just 17! It must be in the genes!! Last year saw Alanna Merchant crowned Miss Manchester 2007. She was watched by over 700 people including professional top models, footballers, TV and radio stars and many more win the prestigious event. The celebrations continued to the earlier hours of the morning with the official after party at The Circle Club.
