Deer Shed Festival 3 Announces Line-Up
The team behind the Deer Shed Festival like the laid-back vibe.
They don’t go for names just because they are names. They book
the bands they want to hear. They like fresh air and space, and
so their campsites are not overcrowded and cramped. They do not
charge extortionately either. The entire vibe is very relaxed,
very down-home, very chilled out.
This is their third year, and they have booked some fine, fine
acts for the event. Villagers are the band who will headline the
Main Stage on Saturday July 21. They released their debut album
on Domino Records, and their second, due for summer release, is
greatly anticipated.
Cherry Ghost are the band who will close the festival on Sunday
July 22, but amazingly they will take to the main stage at 2.45pm
for the Deer Shed Festival’s long goodbye; there will be brunch,
newspapers and a crafts market along with the music.. It will be
a fitting, and thrilling, finale to a weekend of great music and
good times.
Beth Jeans Houghton & The Hooves of Destiny’s are another
band who will take the Main Stage, on Saturday. Dutch Uncles, a
fantastic band from Manchester, will headline The Dock Stage on
Friday night. Treetop Flyers, with their “pure country soul”
sound will play the Deer Shed Festival Main Stage on Saturday
afternoon, and Tupelo will headline on Friday at the brand new
Lake Stage, one of the most anticipated additions to this years
event. We Were Evergreen will take the Main Stage on Sunday, and
take part in the Long Goodbye.
The last two Deer Shed Festivals were sell-outs and received
almost universal acclaim. Last year’s Sky at Night theme was a
tremendous success, and this year the organisers want to do even
better. Friday night’s headliner details will be announced
soon.
